At last the Mother is on track! After an epic lauch on the Slinshot, She accelerates until no radio communications arrives anymore from Haralik...

This video was shot in the much mourned virtual world Inworldz. Sure this is not Star Wars, but the wonderful thing here is that I could do all the props and animations myself, using only the in-world building tools and scripting language! Still it was challending and time-consuming. Imagine if I had the budget of Star Wars, but for good things!!

 

The inspiration for the music comes from a passage of «Yes», in «Tales from Topographic Oceans». However I could not use this passage, because of copyright, and I did not expected the editors of «Yes» to allow me to use it. So I did my own piece, and I think it will meet your expectations. The ending is more inspirited by the «Boléro» from Ravel. The ending explosions come from a record from the Chelyabinsk meteorite, but it disappeared from Youtube, so that I cannot find the author of this fantastic sound.

A moving music, of leaving forever the beauty and nature of Haralik, and the fantastic view of the planet eclipsing the sun!
But already Haralik is too far to be seen, in the glare of the sun
The Mother crossing the two giant planets, Foreal and Souphion
Starting the thermonuclear engine!

The Mother is moving fast out of this system, into the depths of interstellar space...
The gigantic antennae of the TOPOR LIKAN space station!

But this flux is soon reduced to some last Bauds...
The Mother manipulates the exhaust of Her thermonuclear reactor, in order to emit controlled plasma waves, in response to a final message from Haralik
Is it this that the Wow signal captured?

The origin of the wow signal is as of today totally unknown. Among the numerous hypothesis, some scientists indeed supposed that it could have resulted of a maneuver of a spaceship, using fusion like the Mother, or using some unknown physics.

The Mother let Her reactor operate for a thousand years
The Mother enters in hibernation
For 7000 years, the Mother is nothing more than a shadow in the darkness, gliding into the eternal and icy cold silence of interstellar space...
