Well, I am no Beethoven, and these attempts of music could make professionals laugh. In fact, I have had very little feedback on this point. Indeed the media have accustomed us to such ugly and unstructured stuff that people do not pay attention anymore. As far as I am concerned, at the Lycée Victor Duruy in Mont de Marsan, they did not let me do drawing AND music, so I missed this learning.

Each of these music is designed to evoke the vibration of each planet, or more specifically of the associated divinities (we shall look at the origins of these religions later). For each of these, different styles and instruments were required:

Country for the vivacious Tililik

Abstract for the intellectual Beatrix

Sensual for the boobylicious Varuna

Brutal rock for the violent Chaour

The classical orchestra for the bucolic Manzane

Space ambient for the mysterious esoteric Treblion

For Likearth, a much more complex inhabited planet, I needed to create several moods, including creative transitions. Hence this one-and-a-half-minute «symphony». The passage after the tempest evokes the introduction to Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygen Part 3. It also recalls one of the most beautiful passages in Valerian's Empire of the Thousand Planets, when the heroes emerge from the storm to arrive in a world of aerial flowers.

As to laughter in a symphony, well we have one with guns, ha ha ha!

The whole done in 2009. ADSL had been introduced in France, but many Third World countries were still using modems. Hence the choice of a very short format.
