After a grossly biased trial, Likpato is thrown in jail.

Likpato is thrown into a grim cell full of groofios.

SUMMARY

Likpato martyre is thrown in a cell with plenty of groofios (bandits). One of these groofios beats him and break his nose, lefting him disabled of breath. We shall see this groofio again later. Then Likpato is put into another cell, where he encounters other characters, not so violent but as much terrifying. At last he mets Likpato Painter, who was also unfairly thrown into jail.

First activity of the groofios in prison: fighting!
The groofios torture likpato with scrapot smoke and noise, preventing him from sleeping.
Sometimes the guards take the groofios to the «business». Likpato can then sleep, but when they come back they get drunk!
The drunken groofios beat Likpato, without the guards doing anything!
Likpato bursts out shouting «not the antennae», which finally makes the guards act. Likpato is taken to the infirmary, where the medelik does nothing.
The guards put Likpato in a cell with a mad phallo!
Likpato has to bear the mad phallo's horrible stories. But his thoughts go to his likmite, who is growing up without his likdaddy to show her what is pretty.
Likpato imagines everything the educastratrix do to his likmite! Worse, because of his obstructed nose, he has severe nocturnal apnea!
The guards move Likpato to another cell. His new neighbor does not speak, but he looks threatening!
His new roommate tortures Likpato by rudely waking him up every time he falls asleep!
Likpato does the antennae thing again, which infuriates the guards. This time they put him with another likpa!
