The stories of Maggie and of the Great Likpa tell how the present-day religions of the gentle Likpas and the gentle Boobettes came into being, as well as the founding of their two countries some 500 years ago. The origins of the ancient religions of the Oreal will be explored later, in other stories.

Why are there two introductory images? This is because the old version of the site with indexes allowed readers to choose the order in which they wanted to read the story: first from the perspective of the Likpas, or first from the perspective of the Boobettes. But two versions made the story unnecessarily confusing for the reader, in addition to making the code unmanageable. So, in 2024-25, when I converted the site to HTML pages without indexes or mySQL, I kept only one version, the one that was the most consistent with the plot and the build-up of suspense.
This idea of multiple-choice comics was the result of discussions which were taking place on the Internet at the time, concerning reader's control over the content. However, nothing ever came of these discussions: the reality is that no artist likes to see their readers nitpicking their creations. Indeed, this ruins any plot, and spoils the build-up of the emotional tension. Still worse, I later realized that the idea was actually supported by only one person, who spoke as if he represented a vast movement. So I let him be right alone. Since then, I have not heard anything more about multiple-choice comics.
